Trinity County schools closed, delayed due to flood watch, and tornado warnings

HOUSTON – As we continue to track heavy storms and flood watches Monday morning, several area schools are announcing closures or delayed openings.

LIVE RADAR: Tornado warnings issued in parts of southeast Texas

A tornado warning was issued for Harris and Galveston County until 4:30 a.m. however, severe thunderstorms and flash flood watch remain until about 7 a.m.

An additional tornado warning was issued for Chamber and Liberty County until 8 a.m.

Here’s a list of schools that have announced delays, and closures due to the severe weather:

Groveton ISD

Goodrich ISD

Trinity ISD

Little Centerville ISD

Shepherd ISD (1 hour delay)

Texas City ISD (2 hour delay)
