‘Dirty-@%$ Galveston beaches’!?😱 Beyoncé’s mom, Tina Knowles, schools Charles Barkley and Shaq after dissing The Island

GALVESTON – Let’s get one thing straight - the motto around these parts is ‘Don’t mess with Texas’!

And we mean it 😤

From the smallest towns to the biggest cities, one thing that rings true is that everyone is proud to be from the Lone Star State.

Over the weekend, TNT Sportscasters Charles ‘Chuck’ Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal joked about the city of Galveston after the New Orleans Pelicans got swept by the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Both Chuck and Shaq spent part of their show trashing the Pelicans, saying that they may as well start planning their summer vacation after such a tough loss.

At first, the duo hinted at Cancun as the possible place for the players to go. Then, they quickly changed their minds, saying that they don’t believe Brandon Ingram and his teammates deserve a lavish trip to Mexico.

They suggest a more modest option closer to home.

“We’re not even gonna send them to Cancun. We’re gonna send them to Galveston, where that dirty-@%$ water be washed up on the shore,” Barkley said. “We not gonna send y’all to Cancun, y’all drive your @%$, y’all quit. Drive your @%$ down to Galveston. We sending their @%$ to Galveston, Texas, right where that dirty water washed up on the beach, they can’t even get in the water.”

Islanders, no need to fear!

Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, came to The Island’s defense and gave a quick clapback in support of the place where she was born.

“Chuck we don’t play about Galveston Texas ! You better watch it sucker! 😂😂 Our water might not be blue , but it is still the beach and we love it! In fact , what you probably don’t Know is It’s an Island !! Yes me and @angiebeyince still rock our BOI necklaces ( Born On The Island),” she wrote.

Since then, Chuck has reportedly apologized to Tina Knowles and said that he did not want Beyoncé's fanbase, The BeyHive, to come for him.

Well played, Chuck. Well played.
