Police believe an ex-girlfriend came to the home with two men and called out another man in the house. A fight began between the man and the woman, but it’s unclear. That’s when two of the men who arrived with the woman got out of their vehicle and started firing their weapons to stop the fight.

Police said that’s when a neighbor stepped out of his house to see what was going on and was hit by the gunfire. The unidentified neighbor was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. The woman, meanwhile, and two men fled the scene and were described as all in their mid-20s.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact the HPD or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
