Man dead, woman in critical condition after apparent attempted murder-suicide in Houston’s Third Ward

HOUSTON – A man is dead and a woman is in critical condition after an apparent attempted murder-suicide in Houston’s Third Ward.
Houston police responded to reports of a shooting at 4210 Ennis Street just before 9 p.m.
Officers arrived and heard moaning coming from inside the residence.
When they opened the door, a 4-year-old girl came out and said her mother had fallen down.
Officers found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound inside. She was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
A man was also found with a gunshot and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The child was not hurt. The relation between the child and the man is not known.
