Woman shot in the back was dropped off at a gas station before being taken to hospital in north Harris Co.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Authorities are investigating after they said a woman was shot in her back and then taken to a gas station in north Harris County Sunday.

According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, the shooting took place in the 10000 block of Airline Drive at around 7:50 a.m.

The woman, believed to be in her 40s, was shot and then driven to the gas station in the 6400 block of the North Freeway.

She was then taken by ambulance to the hospital where she is said to be in a serious but stable condition.

At this time, it is unclear what caused the shooting.

Deputies say that the suspects are believed to be four Hispanic men in a tan passenger vehicle.
