Man dead after building fire near Westpark Tollway

HOUSTON – A man was reportedly killed in a building fire on Artdale Street near the Westpark Tollway in Houston.

The Houston Fire Department reported the incident at around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

The fire was reportedly spotted by neighbors, who attempted to enter and save an older man who was believed to be living in it, but the flames were too intense.

The victim was in his 60s and had been living in the shed for around five years at the time of the incident and was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time, investigators have ruled out foul play.

HFD said no other injuries have been reported.
