Houston man arrested after vehicle theft, police chase

HOUSTON – One man is facing multiple felony charges after leading police on a high-speed chase in a stolen vehicle.

Adrian Enrique Alarcon, 18, faces charges of Burglary of Building, Auto Theft and Evading Arrest/Detention with Vehicle.

Police said several individuals could be seen on video footage breaking into the Texas Auto South Dealership in Webster, Texas, and stealing a total of six vehicles. After receiving a report of the incident, police observed a speeding Jeep SRT displaying a “Texas Auto” tag along the Gulf Freeway. After attempting a traffic stop, a pursuit quickly ensued.

Officers were able to successfully arrange spike strips to disable the vehicle. The suspect continued on foot, but officers were able to apprehend him. The perpetrator was later identified as Alarcon.

Alarcon was transported to the Harris County Joint Processing Center, and his bond was totaled to $50,000. The other subjects involved in the theft remain at large.
