Greater police presence at Santa Fe HS after staff receive threatening email

SANTA FE, Texas – A threatening email was sent to Santa Fe High School administrators, Santa Fe High School said on Monday.

There was a similar statewide threat made in December 2023.

“Our police do not have any reason to believe this threat is credible, but we will always take precautionary measures to ensure student and staff safety. Santa Fe ISD Police Department, the City of Santa Fe Police Department, and the FBI are actively investigating the source of the email,” Santa Fe High School officials said.

There is a greater police presence at the school due to the incident.

Students will also not travel to other athletic facilities, the ag barn, or other campuses Monday as a precaution.

All other operations will resume as normal at Santa Fe Independent School District.
