Commonwealth Elementary School named No. 1 campus in Texas by Children At Risk

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – These cool kids have something to celebrate!

Students at one Fort Bend Independent School District will hold a celebration pep rally after being named the campus the #1 elementary school in the entire state of Texas.

The Commonwealth Elementary School was ranked by the nonprofit organization, Children at Risk.

Children at Risk President and CEO Dr. Robert Sanborn announced the results of the top five high, middle and elementary schools in the Greater Houston Area during a recent news conference, according to FBISD’s website.

Children at Risk evaluated 1,311 public schools in the Greater Houston Area based on student achievement, school performance and student growth for middle and elementary schools. Its school ranking system helps parents, educators, and community members better understand how their local schools are performing.

The pep rally will begin at the Commonwealth Elementary School around 9:45 a.m.

The nonprofit Children at Risk ranked Fort Bend ISD’s Commonwealth Elementary School the No. 1 school in Texas and the region for the 2022-2023 academic school year.
