DPS trooper shoots man during narcotics investigation at Conroe gas station

CONROE, Texas – A DPS trooper reportedly shot a man during a narcotics investigation at a gas station in Conroe Thursday.

The incident happened around 10:30 a.m. at the QuikTrip located in the 1200 block of Wilson Road.

The Texas Department of Public Safety did not elaborate on what led up to the shooting other than that it was during a narcotics investigation.

The suspect, an approximately 35-year-old man, was shot and transported to a Conroe hospital.

No troopers or any other people were injured in the shooting.

The Texas Rangers, Texas Department of Criminal Justice Investigative Division, and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office are investigating.
