HOUSTON – The coaches for Michigan and Washington held a news conference on Sunday before the two teams go head-to-head for the 2024 College Football Playoff National Championship.

The game is scheduled for Monday at NRG Stadium at 6:30 p.m.

The Washington Huskies are looking for their first national title since 1991, and the Michigan Wolverines last won a national title in 1997.

Both teams are 14-0, and this is the first time both teams have made it to the CFP title game.

“Simply go out there, and give it your very best. That’s all we can ask of anybody, all we can ask of ourselves,” Michigan Coach Jim Harbaugh said.

Washington Coach Kalen DeBoer told the players to enjoy the moment and give it their all.

“I think every week I just challenge the guys to not have any excuses. That means great preparation, which will lead to confidence, which will lead to success on game day. And, have no regrets,” he said.
