Driver who called police after claims of being followed by vehicles arrested for showing signs of intoxication

HOUSTON – A driver who called police after claiming she was being followed was arrested for showing signs of intoxication, according to deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office.

Crystal Espinosa, 29, was charged with driving while intoxicated.

Deputies responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle in the 21400 block of Imperial Valley Drive. The caller said she was being followed by other vehicles.

Deputies said at the scene, Espinosa showed several signs of intoxication. A Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered and it was determined that she was intoxicated.

During the investigation, it was learned that she was currently out on a $50,000 bond for driving while intoxicated with a child passenger.

Espinosa was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. Her bond and court information have not been set at this time.
