Man followed out of NW Houston convenience store before being shot to death while sitting in car

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A man is dead after being shot outside a convenience store in northwest Harris County on Sunday.

The shooting happened in the 14100 block of SH-249.

Deputies said an unknown man approached a parked vehicle and shot a man who was inside before fleeing the scene on foot.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies said the victim was leaving out of the convenience store when he was followed by another man,

“We don’t know if words were exchanged with another male that was outside,” Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said.

Shortly after, Gonzalez said the man pulled out a handgun and began shooting into the victim’s vehicle.
