Man killed after being hit by vehicle in NW Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A man is now dead after deputies said he was hit by a vehicle in northwest Harris County.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s deputy, the deadly crash took place in the 950 block of West Mount Houston Road near the North Freeway on Monday morning.

Deputies said the pedestrian was confirmed dead at the scene.

As of 7 a.m., the eastbound lanes of West Mount Houston are shut down and traffic is being diverted to Bunny Run. Westbound traffic is being redirected to cut through a parking lot nearby.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said they have also notified Aldine ISD about possible impacts on school-related traffic.
