No threat found at Lamar High School following lockdown during police investigation

The TEA announced its intention to take over the Houston Independent School District as of June 1st. (KPRC)

HOUSTON – Lamar High School was placed in lockdown mode Thursday morning as police launched an investigation into a bomb threat on campus.

A spokesperson from Houston Independent School District made KPRC 2 aware of the incident at around 9 a.m.

District officials said that they have notified families.

Police officers swept the area with bomb dogs and nothing was found.

Officials said school resumed back to normal operations.
