Man found dead with possible blunt force trauma head injuries; police investigating

Police are investigating after a man was found dead with head injuries on Houston’s south side on Wednesday, the Houston Police Department said. (KPRC)

HOUSTON – Police are investigating after a man was found dead with head injuries on Houston’s south side on Wednesday, the Houston Police Department said.

Officers responded to the 4500 block of Hull Street around 2 a.m. due to a person down call. Paramedics also made it to the area and found the man in his 60s, who was later pronounced dead at the scene.

He had injuries on his head. Authorities initially thought he had suffered gunshot wounds, but then officials with the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences said the injuries were possibly caused by blunt force trauma.

Police could not find any witnesses, and the suspects have not been identified.

An autopsy is being conducted to determine what caused the man’s death.
