Burn ban lifted for unincorporated Harris County

HOUSTON – The burn ban for unincorporated Harris County was lifted on Tuesday, according to Harris County Commissioner Lesley Briones.

The burn ban went into effect on Aug. 8.

The Texas A&M Forest Service also said it has lowered their Wildland Fire Preparedness Level to level 1. This means that there is minimal fire activity in the state and minimal drought, officials said.
