Suspect charged in fatal shooting of woman at Spring Branch apartment complex

HOUSTON – A suspect has been charged with murder in the fatal shooting of a woman in the Spring Branch area, the Houston Police Department said.

Lakiri Leeonna Tolliver, 25, is accused of killing 29-year-old Laurielle Faulk.

On June 27, HPD patrol officers received reports of a shooting at an apartment complex located at 7625 Hammerly Blvd. at around 5:50 p.m.

Officers said when they arrived at the scene, they found Faulk with at least one gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.

According to police, an initial investigation identified an unknown man as a suspect in the incident. He was interviewed by homicide detectives and released with no charges filed.

A subsequent investigation identified Tolliver as the suspect in the shooting. After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, Tolliver, who was already in custody since July 14, was charged for her alleged role in the incident.
