Family demands justice after 31-year-old’s murder in South Houston

SOUTH HOUSTON – The family of Raymundo Alzamora, 31, is asking for the public’s help in finding the person responsible for shooting and killing him.

Alzamora’s wife Jasmine Vega said he was shot on Sunday, March 13 near the intersection of Avenue N and 17th Street while driving a U-Haul truck.

“He was shot,” she said. “They shot towards the U-Haul, and he must have lost consciousness and hit the pawnshop.”

Vega said the South Houston Police Department is investigating the case and believes it may be road rage related.

“He was a loving father to three children. He has two bigger kids and our 7-month-old child,” Vega added. “We were about to move into our new apartment, and he was about to start his new business. We were excited about a lot of things and for somebody just to think they can take the life of somebody else, it’s just not right.”

Alzamora’s sister Juanita Alonso is asking anyone with information to come forward.

“Please help us get justice for my brother,” Alonso said.

KPRC 2 reached out to the South Houston Police department to try and see if there was any description of the suspect or the vehicle involved but did not hear back from investigators.

Loved one’s set up a GoFundme to help pay for Alzamora’s expenses.
