KPRC 2 Senior Scholarship: Emilee McCoy’s future as an Aggie is bright thanks to her hard work in high school

The eighth $2,500 scholarship winner of the year is Emilee McCoy who will be graduating this spring from Kempner High School in Fort Bend Independent School District.

KPRC 2 and American Furniture Warehouse are surprising 20 deserving high school seniors with scholarships in 2022. All students selected for scholarships have been nominated by their high schools.

The eighth $2,500 scholarship winner of the year is Emilee McCoy who will be graduating this spring from Kempner High School in Fort Bend Independent School District.

McCoy has maintained strong grades while competing in varsity swim and varsity cross country.

She also is involved in a number of student organizations, has a job at a fast food restaurant, volunteers at church, and participates in additional community service initiatives.

McCoy has been accepted to Texas A&M University an plans to study mechanical engineering.
