Surveillance video captures Walgreens employee being held at gunpoint during robbery in NW Houston

HOUSTON – Police released surveillance video of an armed robbery at a local Walgreens in hopes that someone will identify the suspects involved.

The robbery was reported on Feb. 15 around 8:30 p.m. at the drug store located in the 8500 block of Long Point Road.

Police said the suspect walked into the Walgreens and toward the counter, acting as if he was going to make a purchase. As the employee opened the register, a second suspect rushed into the store with a handgun.

Police said the first suspect then ran around the counter while the second suspect remained on the opposite side. The suspects then took the money from the register and fled on foot.

Both suspects are described as men believed to be between the ages of 20 and 30 years old.
