At least 1 dead after 18-wheeler crash, fire in north Houston

HOUSTON – At least one person is dead after an 18-wheeler crash and fire in north Houston.
The incident happened around 1:15 p.m. Tuesday at the North Loop East service road near the Hardy Toll Road, authorities said in a tweet.
According to the Houston Fire Department, the crash is connected to a house fire in the area.
The circumstances of the crash are unclear and it is unclear if the person died in the crash or the fire.
Police said the westbound service road of the North Loop East and the Hardy Toll Road southbound to the 610 Loop westbound are closed.
