Just minutes after the clock struck midnight, Memorial Hermann Health System delivered its first baby of the new year.

Hudson Ryder Galvez was born at 12:07 a.m. Jan. 1, 2021 at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in Houston. He weigs 7 pounds, 12 ounces and is 21.5 inches long.

The infant’s parents are in good health, hospital representatives said.
