A new COVID-19 global surveillance system was launched Thursday.
The system was developed by scientists as Northwestern University and the University of Florida and includes data from 195 counties, including the U.S.
It helps to identify outbreaks as they begin, predict where the virus will spread and how fast it will arrive.
