HOUSTON – Teacher Appreciation Week is May 8-12 and KPRC 2 and TutorVille want to do something special to honor those teachers who have risen to the challenges of teaching and connecting with their students. Teachers change the lives of millions of children every day by making sure every student has the tools they need to reach their full potential.
Now is your chance to nominate a Houston-area teacher to be recognized for all their hard work and dedication.

It’s easy for KPRC 2 Insiders to nominate someone! Fill out the short nomination form below. You’ll provide your contact information, as well as the teacher’s name, school name, and a brief description of why the teacher you’re nominating should be considered for a special gift.
We’ll share your shoutouts on Click2Houston.com; PLUS from the pool of nominations, five teachers will be selected to receive a prize, courtesy of TutorVille.
Prizes include:
- Brunch for 6 people at Postino
- A curated menu and special dining with the chef from GJ Tavern for two

Nominations are closed at this time.
Nominations will be accepted through Thursday, May 11 at 12 p.m., but don’t delay entering, because our first winners will be selected from the submitted nominees starting Sunday, May 7. There will be a winner each day of Teacher Appreciation Week. The five winners will be chosen at the sole discretion of a judging panel at KPRC 2 and will be selected based on the nominator’s description of the inspiring ways each educator teaches, inspires, and leads students in Houston-area classrooms.
