Filmed in Lisbon, Portugal, the film ā€œcaptures the pop iconā€™s rare and rapturous tour performance,ā€ according to a press release. It features 48 on-stage performers including Madonnaā€™s children, musicians and dancers from around the globe.

The film will take ā€œviewers on a journey as compelling and audacious as Madonnaā€™s fearless persona Madame X, a secret agent traveling around the world, changing identities, fighting for freedom and bringing light to dark places.ā€

It will come 30 years after the pop starā€™s groundbreaking documentary ā€œTruth or Dare,ā€ chronicling her life Āduring her Blond ĀAmbition world tour. Her last album, also called ā€œMadame X,ā€ hit the top spot of the Billboard 200 chart in 2019.
