I’ve heard this a lot recently: You say you’re seeing more people experiencing homelessness in the Heights, including more people staying outdoors or in makeshift camps.
That raises a bigger question: Is there actually an increase in homelessness in the Heights, or are people simply noticing it more?

I’d like to dig into the data to see what we can actually measure at the neighborhood level, while also looking at what happens when encampments are cleared and where people go afterward.
My other thought/question...has any access to homeless services recently changed? What resources are available to people experiencing homelessness in and around the Greater Heights?
I’ve also heard from people who believe the situation may have shifted as the city has taken a different approach to homelessness downtown, including claims that some people were pushed toward areas outside downtown during the World Cup. That would need more verification.
This could be a broader look at what homelessness actually looks like in the Heights right now, whether it has changed, and what happens after encampments are removed.
