Astros picked to win World Series by Sports Illustrated No description found
HOUSTON – The Houston Astros are one of four projected playoff teams featured on the covers of Sports Illustrated's baseball preview issues, but that's not the most exciting part about it.
SI has chosen the Astros to win the World Series this year.
The front cover of the issue with the Astros says: "We take back our Astros in 2017 World Series prediction. This year is the year!"
It is not the first time the magazine has predicted the Astros to win it all. In 2014, George Springer was pictured on an SI cover, with the magazine predicting the Astros as the 2017 World Series champs .
Carlos Correa, Dallas Keuchel and Jose Altuve represent the Astros on this year's cover.
The three other baseball preview issues feature the Chicago Cubs, the New York Mets and the San Francisco Giants.
