NBA investigates Rockets owner Leslie Alexander after courtside exchange

HOUSTON – The NBA is investigating the Rockets' owner for a move he pulled on the court.

During gameplay, while standing directly next to an official, some 20 feet from his court side seat, Les Alexander walked down the court and appeared to shout at a referee.

In a video of the incident Alexander stands behind the ref and he raises his arms and says something. The ref turns around briefly and doesn't appear to respond as Alexander walks back to his seat.

The frustration came after a few calls that the Rockets were unhappy with in the first quarter.

"He's just the coolest guy on Earth. I would have probably ran over there and tried to help him," James Harden said to the Associated Press.

The league is investigating the move.

Similar incidents have resulted in penalties upward of $100,000.
