Laser flashes on Brock Osweiler during Texans game against Raiders

HOUSTON – A strange green laser was a big topic of conversation coming out of the Houston Texans game against the Oakland Raiders in Mexico City.

A green laser appeared to be flashing on Texans' quarterback Brock Osweiler's body and face in parts of both the first and second halves of the Texans' 27-20 loss.

People on social media shared images of a green laser or light being repeatedly flashed on Osweiler.

"I've never experienced a laser being shined into my eyeball during a football game, let along a professional football game in the National Football league. So I think that was certainly disappointing," Osweiler said. "At the end of the day, that's not why we lost the game. That was just one small factor. But it certainly affected how I was playing and able to see downfield."

Meanwhile, Coach Bill O'Brien said running back Lamar Miller was also a victim.

"I'm not sure what you can do about it. I'm not a security person, but that's terrible that somebody would even think about doing that," O'Brien said. "Lamar got it pointed at him. Obviously Brock got it pointed at him. That's just terrible."

An NFL spokesman told NFL.com that stadium security was aware of the issue.
