Houston Texans 2016 regular season schedule features 5 prime time games

HOUSTON – The Houston Texans 2016 regular season schedule was released Thursday night and the team plays in five prime time games.

The Texans start the season with two home games, including a rematch of the AFC wild card playoff game last season against Kansas City.

Houston travels to New England for a Thursday Night Football game in Week 3. Then NRG Stadium hosts the Colts in a Sunday Night Football game on KPRC 2.

The following week the Texans fly to Denver to take on the defending Super Bowl champion Broncos and former Houston head coach Gary Kubiak.

The Texans head south of the border to Mexico City to take on the Raiders. And they host the Bengals on Christmas Eve in a Saturday Night Football game.

Bye week is Nov. 6 for the Texans.

Sept. 22 at Patriots (Thursday Night Football) at 7:25 p.m.

Oct. 16 vs. COLTS (Sunday Night Football on KPRC 2) at 7:30 p.m.

Oct. 24 at Broncos (Monday Night Football) at 7:30 p.m.

Oct. 30 vs. LIONS at Noon

Nov. 6 BYE

Nov. 13 at Jaguars at Noon

Nov. 21 at Raiders (Monday Night Football in Mexico City) at 7:30 p.m.

Nov. 27 vs. CHARGERS at Noon

Dec. 4 at Packers at Noon

Dec. 11 at Colts at Noon

Dec. 18 vs. JAGUARS at Noon

Dec. 24 vs. BENGALS (Saturday Night Football) at 7:25 p.m.
