Texans introduce first round pick Will Fuller

HOUSTON – The Houston Texans selected Notre Dame receiver Will Fuller, trading with Washington to move up one spot to take him at No. 21 overall in the NFL draft Thursday night.

Houston was scheduled to pick at 22, but traded away their sixth-round pick in 2017 to the Redskins to select Fuller.

The Texans needed a receiver to play with star DeAndre Hopkins and give new quarterback Brock Osweiler another target as he takes over Houston's offense.

"I'm just looking forward to working with this team and being the best player I can be and winning games for us," Fuller said Friday. "It's a dream come true. I'm happy to be here."

Fuller had 62 receptions for 1,258 yards and 14 touchdowns last season for the Fighting Irish.
