"He did a great job" "good job by the defense" "outstanding job by yada yada yada." Take the expressions regarding "jobs" out of the broadcasts and you have announcerless football. AN EXPERIMENT tried by NBC SPORTS in the 80's and it wasn't a bad idea. I AM NOT in favor of getting rid of guys or gals who do what I DID FOR YEARS, but my goodness...the other thing they do drives me nuts too. It is always a "Little" this or a "little that". "It was just a little screen that went for 80 yards". "it was just a little fake that Butch Whatshispants" PULLED OFF., ETC. "i think I did a great job remembering Butch's last name."
Here is my predication on the 2 semi's..Oklahoma and Alabama. 2 schools with reputations of having a library some of the football players have seen. Bob STOOPS to conquer against a former neighbor of mine, NICK (DON'T CALL ME LOU) Saban. I THINK both guys have really good jobs.
