HOUSTON – A dog is safely back inside his family's home Sunday after he got a little too adventurous.
Onyx, a Maltese-poodle mix, got stuck under the foundation of his home and was there for about 36 hours.
The Houston Fire Department was able to rescue him. His owners say they let Onyx out Friday night.
Once he got outside, he chased a small animal under the home and got stuck.
Friends and neighbors tried to help rescue the dog, but eventually HFD Rescue 10 came out and was able to recover Onyx.
He seemed to be OK, but was taken to the veterinarian to be checked out.
