Firefighters battle large warehouse fire in northeast Houston

Firefighters battled a large warehouse fire Wednesday morning in northeast Houston.

The fire broke out at 2:56 a.m. at a building located in the 8800 block of Liberty Road. About 50-70 firefighters responded and worked to contain the flames.

Officials said the fire started with tires and the flames grew out of control.

The fire was contained around 5 a.m. and focused on dousing hot spots in the area. No injuries have been reported.

Arson investigators responded to the scene.
