Detectives looking into scene after body found in burning car

Officials in west Houston are investigating a scene after a man was found dead inside of a burning vehicle.

First responders with Houston Fire Department extinguished the burning car at around 8:15 a.m. on Blankenship Dr.

After the fire was out, the body was discovered in the driver’s seat. Homicide detectives were called to the scene to investigate the situation.

This is the second reported body found in a burned vehicle in Houston this month.
