Fire rips through west Houston apartment building

Eight families were displaced after a fire tore through an apartment complex in west Houston overnight.

The fire broke out just before midnight at an apartment complex near Ashford Meadow Drive and Ashford Park Drive.

The cause of the fire in under investigation.

No injuries were reported
