Your child should be up to date on their immunizations before the first bell rings; and there's a good chance you can get shots for free.
Memorial Hermann Health Centers for Schools offers free health care, including vaccinations, sports physicals and even dental care in 10 clinics serving uninsured and underinsured students at 71 local schools.

The clinics are open year round Monday through Friday.
If you need a weekend appointment, head to Northshore High School Saturday, Aug. 20, between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. The Harris Health System is giving free immunizations to children 2 to 18-years-old.
Stop by Remington College's Greenspoint or Webster campuses for a free haircut for your child 17 or under.
The Cuts for Kids program runs the entire month of August. Mom and dad can also get a free haircut or manicure or pedicure if you bring in school supplies for Remington's school supply drive. You don't have to make an appointment for the free salon services, but it is recommended.
Houston, Texas - (July 29, 2016) - Students may not be ready for summer to end, but at least they can head back to school looking and feeling their best, thanks to Remington College's
Cuts for Kids program.
Throughout the month of August, Remington College is again providing free back-to-school haircuts for students 17 and under. Cuts for Kids allows parents to save some money on the cost of getting kids ready to go back to school, and students in the Remington College cosmetology program get real-world, hands-on experience with actual clients as part of their education.
Remington College has provided more than 15,000 free back-to-school haircuts through its Cuts for Kids program.
Remington College Greenspoint Campus
Dates: Monday, August 1 - Wednesday, August 31

Parents can also get a free salon service during Cuts for Kids; anyone who brings in a donation of school supplies - pens, pencils, notebooks, etc. - can get a free haircut, manicure, or pedicure for themselves. All the school supplies collected will be given to local schools for students in need.
