App connects aspiring baseball stars with MLB coaches

A new app can help aspiring baseball players hit and pitch like a major leaguer.

Current Major League Baseball coaches and former MLB stars are teaming up to help players of all ages with Coached, a new app for Apple devices. Players can film their swings or pitches, submit the video through the app and get coaching advice from a pro of their choice.

Within days, they’ll send back voice-narrated analysis. The app has a growing roster, including hitting coaches Brook Jacoby, with the Toronto Blue Jays, Atlanta Braves’ Kevin Seitzer and Kansas City Royals’ Dave Sveum.

Drill videos are available from coaches for $4.99 and discount packages are available. One-on-one evaluations cost between $10 and $60.
