Cocktails, mocktails, and martini dip with Tanji Patton of Goodtaste TV

Houston – Could you tell if there wasn’t alcohol in your cocktail? Tanji Patton of Goodtaste TV put Tessa Barrera and Mel Camp to the test.

With the rise of mocktails and low-proof drinking, non-alcoholic spirits are having their day. Summer is right around the corner and Patton showed us how easy it is to make some of your favorite cocktails without the liquor.

Patton started with a margarita using Ritual non-alcoholic tequila, a gin martini using Ritual’s version of gin, and a mocktail version of a Manhattan using Spiritless Kentucky 74 Non-Alcoholic Whiskey. All of these can be found at a local liquor store like Spec’s, who helped Patton with the selection for today’s segment.

Watch the player above to find out if Tessa and Mel were able to tell the difference.

Finally, Patton introduced a savory, salty, and briny martini dip served in a martini glass and topped with olives. Unlike the drinks, the dip is slightly boozy since the olives are marinated in a gin mixture.
