HOUSTON – Boots for Troops began in 2015 when Jimmy Rogers and his wife Lindsey came up with the idea while Jimmy was serving in the United States Navy.
While serving, he received care packages from back home, but realized others did not always get them or when they did they were usually mass produced or full of items that the service members didn’t need or want
Jimmy thought the impact could be better with a custom care package program, and with a bit of help stateside from his wife Lindsey, Boots for Troops was born.
Their mission is to uplift and empower the overall morale and mental well-being of active duty military, veterans, and spouses with customized care packages.
This is not your average care package, these are customized to each person. Crafter for the needs of each individual, and in addition to that - each package comes with a new pair of boots selected by the service member receiving the package.
In the first year of operations Boots For Troops raised over $100,000 dollars to support their care package program and it has only continued to grow.

The event is happening on Saturday June 1st from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. at the Margaritaville Lake Resort, Lake Conroe.
