HOUSTON - A north wind has been a dominant feature of our weather since Monday and it will continue to blow cold, Canadian air into the area through Saturday.

The cold air is funneling between a high pressure ridge out west and a strong low pressure system in the northeast.  The north wind will be gusty at times, which will make the wind chill an issue for us.  Keep your warm coats handy!

Morning low temperatures will be in the 30s for most of us, save coastal areas.  Afternoon highs will be near 60 on Friday, in the low to mid-50s on Saturday, and back into the low 60s on Sunday.

A quick warm-up will occur as we head into the work week next week.  A strong south wind finally takes over and brings our temperatures back into the 70s on Monday.
