Damp and cool as rain winds down

HOUSTON – We're staying on the damp and cool side for the rest of Monday afternoon, although the rain will wind down over the next few hours.

According to KPRC2 meteorologist Justin Stapleton, even when the rain ends, travelers should still use caution as roads will remain wet the rest of the day.

Expect overcast skies and chilly temperatures holding in the upper 40s and low 50s for the majority of the afternoon, but skies will slowly clear overnight into Tuesday morning.

A look at the forecast for Monday, Nov. 19, 2018.

Tuesday will head back into the 60s with sunshine.

The next rainmaker will move through overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning, leaving a dry and cool Thanksgiving afternoon in the mid-60s.
