Scattered strong storms possible Wednesday

HOUSTON – Scattered storms developed Wednesday in the Houston region.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Liberty County until 2 p.m., saying 60 mph winds and penny-sized hail is possible. That warning was allowed to expire.

Today's forecast

Temperatures began in the upper 70s to low 80s Wednesday morning with lots of humidity.

Temperatures will be in the low 90s by the afternoon, but will feel like the triple digits.

Scattered showers will pop up around lunchtime and last through the evening commute.
