HOUSTON – Strong storms that rolled through southeast Texas on Monday left behind isolated reports of damage.
The worst of the weather started about 6 a.m., when a strong storm rolled through Fort Bend County and southwestern Harris County.
KPRC 2 reporter Cathy Hernandez said the storm knocked down several trees in Stafford, some of them landing on vehicles. Some homes were also damaged.

“There’s a hole in the roof in the garage,” said resident Veronica Whitley.
A business owner said powerful winds took apart a storage shed where he kept construction equipment.
Crews spent much of the day cleaning up the debris.
"This has the appearance of straight-line winds, a downburst," said Dan Reilly, with the National Weather Service. "Not a tornado, but can be just as damaging,"
A commercial plant nursery in Stafford was also heavily damaged. Texas Color Plants at 2700 Jo Ann St. lost five greenhouses.
"Six figures, definitely. Probably somewhere between $100,000 and $200,000 to get it back like it was," Terry Mu, owner of Texas Color Plants, said.
Jennifer Taylor said she was staying at the Holiday Inn Seaside Resort in the Galveston area when her family witnessed a tornado touch down near the property.
Pictures she shared with KPRC 2 showed debris strewn about the property after the storm had passed.

Officials at the National Weather Service confirmed Tuesday that the damage was caused by a waterspout that came ashore. They said there is also evidence of tornado damage in Brazoria County.
Flooding was also an issue as the storms rolled through the region. Several pictures sent to KPRC 2 showed streets in some areas were under water.
Officials at the Weather Service said they had received reports of flooding along coastal areas of Brazoria, Matagorda and Galveston counties.
High water was reported on a couple of Houston roadways, as well.
Forecasters said although scattered showers and storms are possible for the remainder of Monday, the area should be able to dry out a bit.
There’s another chance for scattered thunderstorms Tuesday, but sunshine returns for the remainder of the week, forecasters said.
Temperatures will be in the 80s and 90s for the remainder of the week, forecasters said.
The next chance for significant rain is expected Monday.
