Evening showers give way to spectacular Thanksgiving

HOUSTON – The sunny skies we saw Tuesday are taking a back seat to some incoming clouds and rain.

After a chilly start, temperatures will be cool Wednesday with highs in the 60s.  Expect clouds to roll in this afternoon with showers possible by dinner time.

Anyone traveling to Dallas or Austin should be clear of rain, but those driving to south Texas Wednesday should prepare for wet roads.

Showers in south Texas will move north toward Houston for this evening.

A look at the travel forecast for travelers Nov. 21, 2018.

The heaviest rain will be offshore, but scattered showers will make for wet roads in the metro area Wednesday night.

According to meteorologist Britta Merwin, showers will move out by sunrise on Thanksgiving.

Skies will clear Thursday morning and beautiful weather will take over Thanksgiving Day.
