HOUSTON - High pressure and mild weather will be with us heading into the weekend.  For Mardi Gras revelers, that means a perfect start to the back-to-back weekend event starting Friday in Galveston.

Friday features balcony parties, live music, and the Funky Uptown Umbrella Brigade as the party winds up.  Temperatures will hover near 60 degrees all evening, with a steady, stiff breeze out of the southeast between 15 and 20 mph.

Rain will hold off Friday night and, for that matter, for the remainder of the weekend.  On Saturday and Sunday, highs on the island will be in the upper 60s with morning lows in the mid to upper 50s.
