Cool temperatures felt Sunday

Sunday's weather is shaping up to be a spectacular late-spring treat for Houston and all of southeast Texas.

After morning low temperatures in the upper 40s and low 50s, sunshine will help to warm us into the mid 70s by afternoon.  That's a little cool for this time of year, and an unusual gift during what has been an extremely warm year so far.

Sunday evening will be cool.  Temperatures will drop quickly through the 60s after sunset, so you may need to throw on extra layer tonight.  By Monday morning, we'll be back into the low 50s, so a jacket on your way out the door to start the work and school week will be a good idea.

The cool snap will be short-lived, as temperatures return to normal, in the low 80s, by Monday afternoon.  And we won't stop there.  Later this week, we'll be flirting with 90 degrees!
