Cold front arrives by midday; chance of scattered showers

HOUSTON - Big changes happening Sunday as a cold front arrives by midday.

Don't leave the house without your rain coat. We have a 60 percent chance of scattered showers today.

The morning started off with fog and muggy conditions. Both will be wiped away as the front arrives. Roads will be wet from the fog and rain, so be careful as you travel.

Because the cold front is arriving during the day, temperatures would have hit their high point during the morning.

The rest of Sunday, temperatures will be falling into the mid 40s to lower 50s during the afternoon and continue to drop during the night.

It will also be breezy. Wind this afternoon will be very active from the North around 10-15 mph with even stronger wind gusts.

Overall, this morning will be humid and wet, then this afternoon will be chilly, breezy and rainy.

Tonight, we have a slight chance of rain with overcast skies.

Monday will be quieter with a high of 54 degrees and partly sunny skies.

By Tuesday, another front arrives with a 50 percent chance of rain and breezy conditions.
