HOUSTON – After record warmth this week, big changes are in store for Houston’s weather.
A cold front pushed through the area Thursday night, bringing storms to Southeast Texas. The rain started about 10 p.m. and will continue through Friday morning’s commute, making your trip to work a bit dicey.
The rain will clear out by around lunchtime for northern and Harris counties. Coastal counties could see rain through the evening commute.

People across the Houston area will be waking up to temperatures in the 50s Friday morning, and they will continue to drop through the weekend, bringing temperatures in the 30s for next week.
Though it will remain cloudy on Saturday, the rain will have moved completely out of the area, leaving us with cold, dry conditions. Temperatures will struggle to reach the upper 50s.
Rain returns to the forecast by Sunday and Monday as another cold front moves through the region. Temperatures are expected to fall into the mid-30s by Wednesday morning.
